The RC Toy industry is a growing market at $400 million, and will double in 5 years. FAO Schwarz, being one of the oldest and most prestigious toy manufacturer in the world, set out to create the world’s smartest RC racer, with swappable heads that change the characteristics of the vehicle.

Inspired by the classic race cars in the 60’s, the 8-inch closed-wheel racer highlights the surfacing of the speed form body, making it sleeker and more sophisticated than your ordinary toy car. When plugged in, the head changes the characteristics of the vehicle, changing its speed, acceleration, radio tune, engine sound, acceleration sound, break sound, and various light effects. Beyond changing the car’s functionality, each driver has his/her own look, alias, backstory, and personality, making it a different experience every time a new head us put onto the driver’s seat.
